Cinco de Mayo

Last week Waterloo Heights celebrated Cinco de Mayo! They had live Mexican music and strawberry margaitas (with or without tequila) garnished with lime. The kitchen made carribean chicken, mango salad and fresh corn for the celebration meal and warm churros with lime sherbert for dessert. It was our first one-seating meals since before covid and it was a really great party! The residents really enjoyed sitting and being all together. To keep social distancing, we set up tables throughout our activity room. Both our rooms were decorated with lots of colour and we even had palm trees hanging from the ceiling. It felt like vacation!!
