LMV Youngest person in Lambton County to be vaccinated

A 16-year-old high school student working at Landmark Village made headlines in early may for being the youngest person in Lambton County to be vaccinated against the COVID 19 virus.

Oscar Allen, a grade 10 student at St. Patrick's catholic High School, works at Sarnia senior living community as an Infection Control Specialist and a Dining Room Attendant. He received his first immunization on May 5th and the nurse practitioner giving him the vaccine told him that according to their systems, they believe they had not had anyone under the age of 18 yet. Oscar has an interest in health care and he is taking a class at school that focus on the jobs that nurses and personal support workers do. He said that he made the decision to be vaccinated to keep himself and everyone close to him - friends, family and everyone he works with as safe as possible.
